During the evening, Julie Penwarden received her FITTskills Diploma, while Bhagwan Vaswani, Swaney Associates Limited; Omaira Eva Ospino, Nova Scotia Department of Energy; and Sandy Gordon on behalf of Karen Williams, Nova Scotia Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage were presented with their gold CITP pins, a symbol of their proficiency and expertise in the field of international trade.
A keynote address was provided by John Pelley, Senior Manager, Global Transaction Banking with Scotiabank. His presentation featured a brief overview of the world’s economy, the potential impact on Trade Finance services and the unique position of Scotiabank to capitalize on these opportunities. Also in attendance were Scott Ferris, Director of Business Development with FITT, and representatives from WTCAC.
