In early 2008, FITT launched the Executive Path towards obtaining the CITP designation. This path targets highly experienced professionals (10+ years) who have clearly demonstrated their competence in and commitment to the profession of international trade. We encourage all CITPs to become ambassadors of FITT by nominating potential candidates today.

In order to qualify for the CITP under the Executive Path, an applicant must provide evidence of leadership and/or management in either the practical or policy areas of international trade, or oversight experience associated with an organizations’ international trade activity. The applicant must also provide two letters of endorsement/recommendation from current CITPs. These references must be familiar enough with the candidate to provide support of the application documentation. In effect, the CITP reference should know the applicant well enough to speak knowledgably about the candidates’ professional attributes and competencies in international trade.
