To be eligible for the internship, candidates must complete the FITTskills program (2, 3 or 4-year College or University Business program) by May 31, 2010. The internship will take place in Ottawa, ON.

Each participating Educational Partner must recommend one student nominee and one back-up student nominee to the Selection Committee consisting of representatives from EDC, FITT and a private sector member. As such, you will first be required to conduct evaluations of each applicant to determine which candidate you feel is best suited for the internship. The evaluations criteria is available on EDC’s website at the following link: www.edc.ca/student.

Please find attached a brochure that can be shared with students, used in the classrooms and distributed as appropriate within your institution. It is the Educational Partner’s responsibility to promote this opportunity to their students.

The deadlines for this program are as follows:

• Launch date: April 12, 2010
• Application end date: April 21, 2010
• Adjudication at the institutions: April 22-28, 2010
• Submission of candidate from each institution: April 29, 2010
• Submission to EDC/FITT Selection Committee: April 30, 2010
• EDC-FITT Selection Committee: May 3-7, 2010
• Notify the winning candidate: May 10, 2010
• Internship start date: Summer of 2010 (start date is flexible)
