ExportAdvantage Internship Program

If you are a recent graduate interested in gaining valuable career-related experience and helping a Newfoundland and Labrador company enter new export markets, then the ExportAdvantage Internship Program may be what you are looking for.

The ExportAdvantage Internship Program is designed to enhance company exporting capabilities while introducing recent graduates to exciting internationally-focused employment opportunities in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Through the program, qualified graduates will be placed with five local exporting or export-ready companies for a period of 12 months. During this time, the intern will assist the company with its export activities, which may include:

• Identifying new market opportunities
• Conducting research related to new market entry 
  
• Developing an export strategy
  
• Implementing aspects of an existing export strategy or market entry plan
  
• Participating in trade missions
  
• Participating in trade shows or exhibitions

Eligibility

• 18 - 35 years of age
• recent graduate of a recognized post-secondary institution
• unemployed or underemployed
• legally entitled to work in Canada
• have international trade training or experience

This is a paid placement. Salary is negotiated between the company and the intern.
