Ralph Baboolal, CITP

Ralph Yash Baboolal, CITP, has been involved in the international trade arena for over twenty two years. He has owned a company involved in the import, export and distribution of merchandise primarily in the auto parts sector. He is currently the lease manager with Team Chrysler Jeep Dodge Inc. on a full time basis selling and leasing new and used automobiles. He also owns Passport Int’l Trade Co. through which he ocassionally trades.


Josephine Back, CITP

Ms. Back is the Director of Scotiabank’s Ontario International Trade Services, located in Toronto, provides Trade Finance Services for branches in Ontario as well as branches, subsidiaries and affiliates in the Bank’s Caribbean Region and some selected Latin American countries. Ms. Back has been directly involved in trade finance business with Scotiabank since 1991 and has spent four years in the Bank’s Taipei Branch between 1997 to 2002. She received her CITP in 1999.


Tony Baker, CITP

Elena Badeeva, CITP

Mrs. Badeeva joined Ronald A. CHISHOLM Limited in 2001 as Imports Coordinator working for Nestle Import Specialty department. In August 2004 she moved to North American beef imports within the same company. Ronald A. Chisholm Limited (CHISHOLM), established in 1938, is one of the world’s leading independent agrifood dealers. Her responsibilities include managing all logistic issues related to the imports of meat from Australia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Brazil and Chile to Canada and USA. Prior to working at CHISHOLM, Mrs. Badeeva worked for a number of international companies, including Sony Russia. She is a native of Moscow and immigrated to the US in 1997 and then moved to Canada in 1999. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Linguistics (English), fluent in Russian and speaks basic Spanish. She earned her CITP in 2004.

 

Visar Bajra, CITP

With over a decade of experience in international trade, customs administration, transportation and distribution logistics, Visar Bajra is distinguished by extensive industry knowledge of Global Supply Chain Management. In his current role as Manager of Global Logistics at S.A. Armstrong Limited, he develops innovative solutions to address clients’ logistics and international trade issues. As a leader and mentor who recognizes the value of ongoing education and training, Visar completed studies in Supply Chain and Logistics Management at York University’s Schulich School of Business, International Transportation and Customs Administration at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, Distribution Logistics Management at the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT), International Trade Management at Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) and obtained the Qualified Person Status under the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations from Canada Customs and Revenue Agency. He received the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation in 2008.


Scott H. Banks, CITP

Scott H. Banks currently serves as the Vice President of the Brenda Strafford Foundation. In this role Scott works directly with the Chief Executive Officer to manage a staff of over 550 international employees and oversee the operations of several humanitarian facilities including long-term care facilities and Women’s Shelters in Canada, hospitals in Jamaica, Haiti and Dominica as well as an international teaching orphanage and an Aids Hospice. These facilities cater to those most in need and provide care and a sense of hope to thousands of people every month.

Over the last ten years Scott has helped literally thousands of people to start and operate business ventures in many different countries. Scott has been highly recognized by senior government officials in various countries for his work in improving the quality of people’s lives through entrepreneurship training and his international business development efforts.

Some of Scott’s previous assignments include: serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a private University in Hawaii, directing a business training centre, serving as a senior international trade consultant, developing and delivering an international training program to improve the business and life skills of young women and men in Guyana, and working for the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs International Trade Division in Trinidad assisting Canadian companies entering the Caribbean market place. Scott holds a BA from the University of Regina, an MBA from the University of Calgary as well as CITP and CHRP professional designations.


Shelly L. Banks, CITP

Shelley Banks is a Finance Partner with the University of Calgary. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree specializing in marketing and is a Certified General Accountant. Shelley previously served as a Director of Finance for a College of Dental Medicine in Hawaii, and as Executive Director for the Tourism Alliance for Western and Northern Canada.


Sarah Barnes, CITP / FIBP

Sarah Barnes has over 13 years experience within the logistics environment. She has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of the International Trade marketplace and has benefited via exposure to many different cultures and business practices around the globe.  

Spending the bulk of her career with ICECORP Logistics Inc. as an Account Executive. This role has afforded Sarah the ability to continue with her career development through networking and playing a pivotal role in helping clients achieve their corporate goals as it relates to the movement of goods across international boundaries.

ICECORP Logistics Incorporation is one of the premier organizations in the Total Supply Chain Solution business sector. They provide core competencies that cover all aspects of services that are needed by the Trade community. Prior to achieving the CITP designation, she has received her FITT diploma, FIATA Diploma, completed her CIFFA Module 1 & 2 certificate program and successfully completed the CSCB Certified Customs Specialist course.


Marc Barrette, CITP

Mr. Barrette is a Community Economic Development Officer with FedNor, the federal regional economic development organization that addresses the needs of Northern and rural Ontario. Mr. Barrette works with a variety of community stakeholders in an effort to promote FedNor´s key development priorities, namely, community economic development, innovation, information and communications technology, trade and tourism, human capital and business financing. During his career, Mr. Barrette has held many roles in business and export consulting, finance, and economic development. Mr. Barrette holds a degree in International Business Management from Northwood University of Midland, Michigan.


Pamela Bartoshewski, CITP

Ms. Bartoshewski is the Controller at Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership and has been with the organization since 1997. STEP is a non-profit organization with a mandate to assist Saskatchewan companies with their export activities. Ms. Bartoshewski is an integral part of the management team at STEP, managing the accounting function, employee benefits and insurance portfolio. Ms. Bartoshewski is also involved with the management and administration of STEP’s International Projects Division which has completed projects in Bulgaria and Ukraine. She is currently serving as the Project Accountant for the FARM Program at STEP which is an agricultural project in Ukraine funded by the Canadian International Development Agency as well as serving as project accountant for STEP’s Trade Facilitation project supported by the UN.  Pam earned her C.I.T.P. designation in 2004.


Raj Kumar Basnet, CITP

I have over 6 years of experience in International Trade and Commerce. I started my career as a Marketing Manager in an international education consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal. There, I was responsible for developing market entry strategies to penetrate local market for a Japanese Education Institution. It deeply helped me to understand cross cultural business environment and enhanced my communication skills. With the growing passion towards international business I joined Pacific Enterprises which was a promising and growing business launched by young entrepreneurs.  I worked with the company in logistics and supply chain department. Working in a small business setting has always given me a different kind of satisfaction.  Lately, I am working as an Import Specialist in Global Arts and Crafts Importer Company. My future plan is to further my career working for diverse global companies and travel to more countries to understand the global economy and culture. Currently, I am also working as a Freelance Small International Business Adviser helping small and medium businesses from India and Nepal to find markets and do business in Canada and US by researching new markets and advising about the opportunities to do business in North America.


Christall Beaudry, CITP

After spending 10 years with Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) as the Membership and Communications Specialist, in 2007, Christall ventured out to a new career in Immigration. Christall worked as the Immigration Manager for Burnett Immigration Services Inc. for three years.  During this time, Christall obtained her Canadian Certified Immigration Consultant (CCIC) designation through the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants and is also a Fellow of the Canadian Migration Institute (FCMI). Christall received her Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation in July of 2001.

John Bescec, CITP

John John Bescec is the Director, Global Trade Policy and Standards for Microsoft Corporation.  His professional background includes over 23 years of experience in international trade, logistics, and customs compliance.  He currently represents Microsoft on the PSCG (Public Sector Consultative Group) at the WCO and is involved in WCO projects.  At Microsoft, John has managed trade activity which accounted for more than $24B in annual revenue representing in excess of 400K shipments per year.  In his role he also provides technical expertise and support to the Microsoft business groups and Microsoft vendors. Prior to joining Microsoft, John was a Senior Vice President with the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters.  He also spent 11 years as a Customs manager and International Trade Advisor for Nortel Networks.


Lorraine Bond-Wojcicki, CITP

Lorraine Bond-Wojcicki is employed as Credit Manager at Cavendish Farms Head Office in Moncton, New Brunswick. Cavendish Farms is the fourth largest processor of frozen potato products with two plants in Prince Edward Island, Canada and one in North Dakota, USA.
 
Lorraine has been employed with Cavendish Farms for the past 18 years. Her credit and collection experience entails Canadian & US customers as well as customers in over 50 countries in the International market.
 
Lorraine studied at Concordia University in Montreal. Prior to joining Cavendish Farms, Lorraine worked as Branch Operations Manager in wholesale financing. She recently completed her FITT courses that were taken through the World Trade Center in Halifax, N.S. Lorraine was granted her CITP designation in May 2010.


Dale Botting, CITP

Enterprise and Innovation develops economic strategy; sets and monitors key indicators of economic growth; and oversees and co-ordinates enhanced regional economic development, business atrraction and marketing efforts to promote Saskatchewan as the best place to live, work, operate a business, and invest.


Line Brabant, CITP

Ms. Brabant is President of LINE International, an independent consulting firm in the area emerging markets and technologies. Line has extensive experience in the management and execution of various processes and projects. Prior to founding LINE International, Line engaged with Nortel Networks, where she took on leadership assignments in the commercialization of advanced and disruptive technologies geared to the global market place, including research, marketing, strategy, business planning and business development. Prior to Nortel, Line worked for local high tech firms, including startups and SMEs, where she managed international sales and marketing programs. She also worked for government agencies and leading research organizations on special projects. In addition to a CITP designation, Line holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology from Cambrian College and a Marketing Management Certificate from Algonquin College.


Adrian Bradford, CITP

Adrian Bradford is a Senior Business Consultant with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development & Trade. In this position, he advises the Ontario government on how to attract automotive assembly and manufacturing investment to the province, putting together databases of information needed by prospective investors. He prepares presentations to these prospects, most of which are headquartered in Europe and the US, and participates in sales calls when needed. Prior to joining the Provincial Government, Adrian was the Associate Executive Director in an association representing international automotive manufacturers in Canada. In addition to the CITP designation, Adrian is working towards a designation in economic development. Together with his wife and son, Adrian lives in downtown Toronto.


Andrew Brooks, CITP

Mr. Brooks holds responsibility for Business Development, together with all Marketing activities for ’syncreon’ globally. With head offices in Auburn Hills, MI and in Dublin, Ireland, syncreon is a global company specialized in providing integrated logistics solutions.  Servicing many Fortune 500 companies, syncreon delivers highly customized supply chain services which are critical to its customers’ success.  syncreon is active in the technology, telecommunications, retail, automotive, healthcare and alternative energy markets, Services to the automotive industry include component sub-assembly & parts sequencing into assembly plants; and outbound logistics services such as parts consolidation and export packing of complete vehicle kits, destined for assembly overseas. Within the technology market syncreon handles B2B, B2C and dot.com supply chain needs for some of the worlds premier companies including Dell, Apple, Epson & HP.  Currently Andrew is directing marketing activities for more than 70 syncreon locations worldwide, supporting activities throughout 20 countries.


Wendy Byrne, CITP

Wendy Byrne’s business and accounting experience covers more than 25 years. She assists clients with business startups and expansions, and has now expanded her work to help clients explore their export potential and gain access to foreign markets. For the past decade Ms. Byrne has delivered business-training programs on Vancouver Island and is a Going Global trainer for the Forum for International Trade Training.

Ms. Byrne´s experience includes market research, business and export plan preparation, development and delivery of business training programs and human resource, operations and contract management. She currently chairs the World Services Committee for the Rotary Club of Courtenay, BC.

Ms. Byrne received her CITP designation in 2005, and is completing her MBA in Management Consulting at Royal Roads University.
