Dia Daljit is the Manager of Business Development for Promed Pharmaceuticals Inc. which distributes products including vitamins, over the counter pharmaceuticals, private label products, pre-natal and children’s products, skin care products, diabetes, heart, high blood pressure, and weight loss products to the Middle East and to other parts of the world. She is passionately involved in promoting Promed Pharmaceuticals Inc. internationally.
Dia´s own international company is called Emerald International Corp. She is a Real Estate Sales Representative with Coldwell Banker Case Realty. Dia has been licensed in real estate and mortgage for approximately 20 years and has owned her own real estate and mortgage company. I have extensive experience working with international companies in engineering, procurement and logistics of industrial projects in the energy sector. I have a varied international background, having lived and worked for several years in the Middle East and Europe.
At present I have my own company “S. N. International” which focuses on exporting engineering and financing services and industrial products to underdeveloped countries and provides advice for implementation of development projects.
I have a bachelor degree in engineering and a graduate certificate in international business. I received my CITP designation in 2005.
Mr. De Lima has been with Frontline Focus International since 2000. Frontline provides memorable customer experience solutions, operating worldwide gathering customer intelligence of thousands of consumers every month. In 2000 Mr. De Lima won the Ontario Global Traders Award, student achievement category, for opening a new Frontline subsidiary in Brazil. He is also a member of Niagara College´s International Business Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Frontline Mr. De Lima worked as a Stage Manager with Disney on Ice from Feld Entertainment, the largest live show entertainment company in the world, giving him the opportunity to manage logistics, event management, and supplier relations in 36 different countries. Mr. De Lima speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish. He received his CITP in 2004.
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada appointed Mr. Déry as Associate Assistant Deputy Minister, Global Operations and Associate Chief Trade Commissioner on September 5, 2006.
From July 2006 to September 2006, he was Acting Assistant Deputy Minister, Investment, Innovation and business Sectors. From February 14, 2005 to July 2006, International Trade Canada appointed him as Acting Assistant Deputy Minister, Business Development and Chief Trade Commissioner. He was Director General, Market Development from September 2003 to February 2005 and he was Director, Market Support Division (2001-2003).
Mr. Déry has extensive experience abroad as Trade Commissioner in Santiago/Chile, Chicago/USA and Melbourne/Australia and served as Consul General of Canada in Minneapolis/USA from 1994-1999. In Ottawa, from 1992-94 he directed the Department’s Western Europe Trade Investment and Technology Division and similar activities in the South Asia, South-East and South Pacific Division from 1988-91.
Mr. Déry is native of Métabetchouan (Québec) and graduated with a major in Finance from the Université du Québec (Chicoutimi).
CITP (Certified International Trade Professional – Canada), FIBP (FITT International Business Professional – USA & EU) with significant experience in managing international projects. Trade Commissioner of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of the Russian Federation in Canada.

Amanda de Vogel works in International Banking for Scotiabank, in the Retail Lending department. Amanda assists with the implementation of lending products and campaigns across 24 countries in the Caribbean and Central America. She is a graduate of the International Business post-graduate program at Sheridan College and holds a BA from Huron University College at the University of Western Ontario in International Comparative Studies and History. Amanda is actively involved with the Huron University College Alumni Board, the Program Advisory Committee for the International Business program at Sheridan College and is co-President of the Organization of Women in International Trade. She earned her FITTskills training from Sheridan College and received her CITP designation in 2005.
Mr. DeWolf began his career as a naval officer before pursuing a long-standing interest in international relations, trade and investment. As a Foreign Service Officer with Canada´s External Affairs Department, he was posted to The Hague, Hong Kong and Singapore.
In 1990, Tom joined the Union Chase Group of companies in Hong Kong. He lived and worked in Asia and Europe, developing and managing international commercial projects related to infrastructure and technology, including the redevelopment of an airport in China. He represented European companies exporting to Asia in a range of industry sectors.
Mr. DeWolf joined the Canadian Commercial Corporation in March 2001 as Director, Business Development with the objective to grow the Corporation´s volume as business. CCC volume has grown in the ensuing years from an average of approximately $1 billion to a record $1.5 billion last year.
Mrs. Diaconu is an automobile manufacturing engineer and an import-export and distribution specialist of European cars and parts. She has focused her international trade career in this direction and has successfully pursued it for over 10 years. In this time, she has gained in-depth expertise in the negotiations of barter contracts in various markets such as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Romania. In 2006, her extensive experience in International Trade and Inventory Management allowed her to take over responsibility of the CGA Canada Warehouse, improving its effectiveness and efficiency.
Mrs. Diaconu received CITP designation in 2009.
Ms. Diakiw, Senior Trade Consultant with CMHC International, the international division of Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation, is responsible for facilitating access into off shore markets for Canadian housing. She has approximately 17 years of international trade experience in government, non-profit organizations and private industry. Over that period, she has worked to promote Canadian capability abroad in a number of sectors, worked to facilitate access into new and non-traditional markets, and worked to increase market share in developed markets. Ms. Diakiw successfully completed FITT courses in June of 1999 and was the recipient of the 1999 HSBC Bank of Canada Award of Excellence as top graduating student. She received national designation as a CITP in December of 1999. She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan, and recently completed a Certificate in Urban Design from Simon Fraser University. She speaks English and French and is currently studying Russian.
Mr. Diamond is the Import Compliance Manager for JP Morgan Chase Vastera Canada Company located in Burlington, Ontario. Paul is a Certified Customs Specialist as well as a Certified International Trade Professional and has more than fifteen years of experience in international trade. He has a proven track record dealing with various governmental departments involved in the import and export of goods on a commercial level and is well versed in legislative and regulatory matters relating to international commerce such as compliance verification audits, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance audits, penalty appeals, H.S. classification, valuation, anti-dumping issues and special trade programs such as the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase Vastera in 2005, Paul managed the consulting department for a Canadian customs brokerage company. He received his Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University and is conversant in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
Mr. Abdi Diriye is an entrepreneur and owner of Hi-Nosh International Trading Corp. He has a BCom. from Ryerson University as well as his certification in international trade through the Forum for International Trade Training (CITP). He has practical hands on experience in the business of international trade through his work with Maple Leaf Foods International.
Mr. Dlugos, a Professional Agrologist with over 20 years of experience as an agricultural economist is the Regional Director of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Alberta/Territories Regional Office in Edmonton. He manages and coordinates a group of professionals who undertake a wide range of activities in trade as well as domestic affairs. He specializes in agri-food policy and marketing and has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Western Europe, and North America. Prior to joining the department, Mr. Dlugos was a Manager with Deloitte & Touche Management Consultants. He holds a M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics (Marketing and Policy) and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics. He completed the FITTskills Program in 1997 and received his CITP designation in 1998.
Ms. Dorling is Managing Director of Beyond Barriers Inc., an Ontario-based company that provides advisory and consulting services for global market development, risk management, and effective governance. She has held senior specialist positions within the World Bank Group and continues to provide consulting services to support operations in both Washington, DC and client countries. She previously represented Canada on the Board of Executive Directors of the Inter-American Development Bank as Senior Advisor where she contributed to policy development, investment lending and management of related programming. Ms. Dorling was also formerly employed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade as a Trade Commissioner in the International Financing Division and by Ontario Exports Inc. as an Export Consultant. Ms. Dorling has provided strategic advice and assistance to Canadian businesses in the pursuit of global market opportunities for more than 12 years and has developed an extensive network worldwide. Having worked in Canada, the United States, France, Mexico and Costa Rica, she has a strong understanding of international business and global opportunities. She received her CITP in 2005.
A professional in the field of international education research, marketing, and teaching since 1998, Mr. Douglas moved from Canada to the Republic of Korea in 2002 to provide contract training solutions for private and public education providers. He holds a Master of Adult Education Degree, through which he developed a model for international partnerships among post-secondary institutions by combining principles of adult and TESOL education with business fundamentals. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree – double majoring in global history and international relations, a Diploma in International Business, a Diploma in International Trade, a Certificate in TESOL, and Tutor and Instructor Certification. Mr. Douglas became a Certified International Trade Professional in 2002.
Mr. Drake is the President of Corsley Inc., founded in 1993 to provide consultancy and facilitation services for Canadian exporters. The company capitalizes on Mr. Drake’s forty years of international business experience to offer workshops, seminars, trade missions, export readiness/capability assessments, and detailed advice on most aspects of international trade. Corsley’s clients include federal and provincial government departments and agencies, as well as private sector companies and associations. Mr. Drake is a past chair and life member of FITT, a member of Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, and of Transparency International. Mr. Ronald Drisdelle, MBA, CITP is a Senior Trade Consultant with Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation in its International division. Mr. Drisdelle is responsible for facilitating Canadian export sales in CMHC´s target countries by creating strategic company partnerships through the development and implementation of innovative commercial activities. Mr. Drisdelle has over 17 years of management experience in the private sector, including experience in economic development and advocacy for the business community. He has previous experience in International Trade and has traveled extensively through out Europe promoting Canadian Companies and the value of Canadian goods & services. He holds an MBA from l´Université de Moncton and completed his FITTskills Diploma in International Trade.
Seasoned professional with international project management knowledge and experience; effective in technical management, project coordination, procurement and planning, developing business relationships in a multicultural environment. Has a civil engineering background with extensive knowledge of building materials and is familiar with European construction industry standards and building material markets. Is a highly effective communicator; multilingual (English, German, Turkish and intermediate level French).
Michael Dunlop is the Investment Readiness Coordinator with the Emerging Sector and Investment Marketing Unit of the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development & Mines. Michael works with Ontario communities assisting them to increase their investment readiness and attract inbound investment. Michael also consults privately, and specializes in the development and delivery of export based training programs. Michael has a Master´s degree in International Management from St. Thomas University in Minnesota, and has conducted business in Ukraine, India, Paraguay, Mexico and the US Michael was the recipient of the Ontario Global Traders Leadership Award for Northern Ontario in 2004.
Stéphane Duranleau, lawyer, member of the Québec Bar, NEXPRO accredited. Mr. Duranleau negotiates various business contracts on behalf of his clients. Mr. Duranleau´s experience includes South-East and Far-East Asia, the NAFTA zone, and Western Europe.
He performs as a speaker at WTC, Business Centres, Trade Associations, Colleges and Universities across Canada and internationally, including China.
Mr. Duranleau also manages Consulimex International Inc. The Consulimex team offers international trade support for import-export and international contract models in English, French, Spanish and Chinese.
Trevor Dyck has been active in international trade for more than 18 years. His experience has included: international marketing, freight forwarding, marine terminal operations and container shipping.
Trevor is currently the Claims & Insurance Specialist for DP World Vancouver; the operator of Centerm container terminal in the Port of Vancouver. DP World Vancouver is the Canadian division of a leading global marine terminal operator head quartered in Dubai, UAE.
In addition to his CITP designation, Trevor has completed his BBA and holds a CITT designation. Trevor is a member of several professional associations including The Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce and The Canadian Maritime Law Association.
