Scott has more than 17 years of experience in marketing communications and international business planning. He has worked within the public sector as well as a variety of private sector industries and thanks to a diverse business development background, he has participated in and/or organized more than 20 trade missions on four continents. He ties a comprehensive yet focused approach to marketing by incorporating customer centered thinking as the basis for all corporate activities. Scott received his CITP in 2004 and was awarded the Team Canada Inc prize that year for the top FITT international business plan.
Mr. Ferron represents the Bank of Montreal as Vice-President, Trade Finance, where he is responsible for leading the development of new business and the growth of existing relationships with importers and exporters in Montreal, Eastern Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces. Previously, he represented Scotiabank as Senior Manager, Trade Finance for the province of Quebec and Eastern Ontario. He is also the former Director of Business Development for the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), establishing new and expanding current partnerships with sector councils, associations, government, private enterprise, and educational partners.
Prior to joining FITT, he served as a Consultant with International Financial Consulting Ltd. In this capacity, Mr. Ferron played an important role in numerous projects, including authoring EDC’s Export Finance Guide, as well as providing foreign buyer risk assessment training for Russia’s Vnesheconombank. In 2005-06 he completed an executive interchange with Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada as Senior Trade Finance Specialist, advising the Minister on complex trade policy issues and transactions, including their legal, financial, and political aspects. He is a former Underwriter with Export Development Canada (EDC), specializing in small-business export credit, and is an experienced trainer for university level learning. Mr. Ferron has been admitted to the prestigious HEC/McGill Executive MBA program beginning September 2010.
Pernille Fischer Boulter founded an international trade training and consulting company, Kisserup International Trade Roots, in Canada in 1998. Pernille has worked on projects in over 30 countries world wide. Pernille speaks 5 languages and is currently learning Manderin in order to cater to the company’s increased client base in China.
Michael is the Production Control Manager for Art in Motion, a leading global publisher, framer and licensor of images and fine-art reproductions located in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
As Production Control Manager, Michael is responsible for the planning and scheduling of both domestic and overseas manufacturing. He ensures the flow of materials between work centers and makes certain manufacturing goals are met. Previous to this Michael was the Supervisor of Art in Motion’s distribution facility in Ferndale, Washington (USA), where he was responsible for the distribution of Art in Motion’s product to its major customers in the US.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of British Columbia and graduated with Honours from the International Trade and Transportation program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
