Mr. Gahr is the co-founder, owner, and Vice President of Kinder Products Ltd., established in 1991. Kinder Products Ltd. manufactures and distributes food service smallwares for hospital and nursing home meal delivery systems. It has an extensive customer base across Canada and the United States. Mr. Gahr is responsible for operations, including customs regulations and documentation, currency exchange, warehousing, inventory control, marketing and distribution, sourcing and securing of customers, agents and distributors. He has extensive experience in new product development, specializing in plastic injection and pressure thermoforming molds. Fluent in German and Spanish, he has an extensive knowledge of the United States, Latin America and Europe.
Mr. Gamble is Director, Sales and Marketing for South/West Asia, Middle East & Africa for IMW Industries Ltd., a privately held company founded in 1912 and headquartered in Chilliwack, British Columbia. IMW is a two-time recipient of the Export Manufacturer of the Year for the Province of BC (2004 and 2007). Mr. Gamble travels extensively throughout Asia, Middle East, and Africa to develop and manage projects for natural gas and hydrogen compressor refueling stations. The alternative fuel industry is both environmentally and economically important on a global scale as many regions seek to address the problems of air pollution caused by vehicle emissions, as well as their dependence on traditional, oil-based fuels.
David was awarded the South East Asia Business Research Scholarship from Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada for 1998 and performed a two month research and feasibility project in Manila, Philippines. He has also worked long term assignments overseas in Chile, Thailand, and Korea. David received his MBA with a specialization in Strategic Management from the University of British Columbia in May, 2009. David also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Administrative Studies from the University of Winnipeg and an Advanced Diploma in International Business from Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He received his CITP designation in April, 2005.
Mr. Gaudet is Trade Consul and Commissioner for the Canadian Consulate in Houston, responsible for ensuring that Canadian businesses receive a consistent, high level of support for their business development efforts in the Houston area, and more broadly in the ocean technology and alternative energy sectors located in the states of Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
Mr. Gaudet has been a Trade Commissioner for New Brunswick with International Trade Canada’s Moncton regional office responsible for the Building and Construction sector, and Senior Trade and Investment Officer with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency - responsible for Aerospace and Defense, Aquaculture and Biotechnology in Atlantic Canada.
Mr. Gaudet has a Bachelor of Business Administration from l’Université de Moncton (New Brunswick) and has completed his degree under the Forum for International Trade Training and is a Certified International Trade Professional.
Fadi is a Certified International Trade Professional who is currently working for the Aldo Group Inc. as a USA Export Administrator. His duties are to ensure proper documentation for all shipments crossing to USA which enables him to effectively deal with custom issues such as clarifying details of shipments that need to be shipped to the US and supplying documentation in order for the shipments to be cleared and released by Customs. At this present time Fadi is currently in the process of taking Management Courses at TELUQ.UQAM University (Canada, Quebec) to enhance his past management experiences.
Ken Giffen is an Account Manager for the Ontario Region at Export Development Canada (EDC). He advises medium and large companies on complex financial products to assist in their market expansions globally. Ken has his Bachelor of Business Administration from Trent University and has lived, studied and worked in Sweden, Wales, Panama and Taiwan. He has also spent several years in business development roles for international trading and manufacturing companies. Export Development Canada (EDC) provides financing and insurance to help Canadian exporters and investors expand their international business. EDC helps 7000 Canadian companies and their global customers in up to 200 markets worldwide each year. EDC is financially self-sustaining and is a recognized leader in financial reporting, economic analysis and human resource management.
Diane Girard is the founder and president of Global Links Network (GLN), a Canadian-based consulting firm specializing in global business facilitation. With over 25 years experience in the international marketplace, Diane has been involved in a variety of projects in over 40 countries in North America, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America. The Global Links Team is comprised of international trade in services specialists with expertise in a wide range of areas including: capacity-building, trade-related technical assistance, training, sector and market development and technology-based competitiveness and trade solutions.
TradeCan International Inc. is a management consulting firm specializing in logistics, trade documentation, customs compliance issues and market research. Mr. Gledhow’s background has been in the customs brokerage and freight forwarding industries. He is licensed by Revenue Canada and has held various positions from sales and marketing to senior management. He is an active member of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce/World Trade Centre. He has also conducted seminars relating to the importing and exporting of goods, and services to and from Canada.
Sue has comprehensive experience with international markets, specializing in agriculture, various food beans and organic products. Over the past ten years, her exports have concentrated in Asia, Mexico, the USA and Europe. She recently developed markets for imported product from Peru and Central America.
Ms. Gosse-Davidson has had over 30 years experience in importing and exporting for large multinational companies. Liz joined Celestica International Inc. in October 1996, responsible for customs compliance, transportation and special projects. Prior to 1996, Liz spent 23 years with IBM Canada Ltd. where she worked in all aspects of the customs area from import operations, duty drawback, import adjustments and administration of customs programs. She retired in 2005 to pursue other opportunities. Liz has been a participant in various Canadian Customs sponsored committees, a member of the IE Canada (Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters) Customs and Legislation Committee, a speaker at industry conferences and most recently an instructor at Centennial College. She holds certificates in Business Administration from Humber College and has received several Achievement Awards for special projects at both IBM and Celestica. Liz was awarded the CITP designation by FITT in September 2002 and the CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) designation by the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers in September 2005.
As a Development Officer with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), Mr. Graham provides advice and guidance to clients and partners concerning trade and investment. Darren is responsible for planning, developing, negotiating, implementing, and evaluating ACOA-led strategies, programs, and mechanisms to pursue opportunities for the development of trade and investment. Headquartered in the Atlantic Region, ACOA’s Trade role is designed to strengthen the export performance of the Atlantic Region by enhancing the capabilities of small- and medium-sized businesses. Darren joined ACOA in 2002 after spending more than ten years in the private sector. Mr. Graham has a Master’s degree from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor’s degree from St. Thomas University. He received his Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation in 2003.
Since joining EDC in 1987, Linda has been helping Canadian exporters manage their export risks around the globe. Currently working on a strategic review of EDC. Linda was previously Director of the Emerging Exporter Team, specializing in risk management services for companies with under $1 million in annual export sales. Prior to this she managed the SME Financial Services Team, providing buyer-financing solutions that address the needs of small and medium-sized exporters. Linda has also lead EDC’s initiatives encouraging and supporting women exporters through sponsorship of seminars and events. Linda has an Honours BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Waterloo, and an MBA from Queen’s University. She volunteers with the Big Sisters Association, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Children’s International Summer Villages, and the Advisory Council on International Trade at the University of Waterloo.
Mr. Greaves is the Director of Business Development for Rapid Technologies Inc. Rapid Technologies specializes in Business Process Management solutions for the North American E&P (Exploration and Production) industry. Rapid leverages the extensive industry experience of its team members to assist Oil & Gas companies in the reduction of business decision cycles, in the establishment of enhanced compliancy capabilities and in the overall improvement of operational efficiencies through the better control of business processes. Mr. Greaves holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Athabasca and Pacific Western Universities and is also a Journeyman Telecommunications Electrician. He successfully completed the FITTskills program at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta in 1997.
Mr. Gubbels is President of CALA International Marketing, which provides consultation for companies wishing to export to Mexico and South America. Mr. Gubbels’ skill in market research, with a special emphasis on Latin American markets, has contributed to the acquisition of key accounts for clients. He is a specialist in the strategy and preparation of marketing and business plans. Mr. Gubbels worked for eight years as an educator and community developer in Peru. During this assignment, he managed various civic works projects, including road construction, electrification, installation of fresh water systems, and the construction of housing. He also implemented training programs for civic employees and established cooperatives. Mr. Gubbels holds a Master of Arts from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy, History and French) from the University of Ottawa. He successfully completed the FITTskills Program at Grant MacEwan College, in Edmonton, in 1998, and Information Technology/System Design Diploma at Grant MacEwan College in 2001.
