Ms. Jandewerth is a Trade and Investment Director, Europe within the International Relations Division of International & Intergovernmental Relations. The objective is to facilitate exports of Alberta’s value-added goods and services and attract investment to Alberta. Ms. Jandewerth works with private sector, associations and other governments to showcase the Alberta Advantage and Alberta’s capabilities internationally through missions, trade shows, partnership networks and trade opportunities.
Mr. Janthur is Vice-President, Money Market, of DEPAG Deposit Agency of Canada Inc., a Toronto based company dealing with money market trading for Canadian, American, and European clients. Mr. Janthur actively trades in three money markets, arranges credit through chartered banks, private sources of funds, and factoring facilities of foreign and domestic accounts receivable. He is involved in international business as General Manager of the Federation of Export Clubs Canada and as Executive Director of the Canada Romania Business Council. Mr. Janthur received the designation "Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FIBC)" in November 1999 and graduated from the Queen’s University Executive MBA program in May 2001.
Mr. Shaji Jose is employed by OOCL (Canada) Inc., in the Export department. Shaji is originally from India, and since migrating to Canada in 2003, has been based in Toronto. Prior to moving to Canada, Shaji worked in the field of International Trade in a large mining and mineral production company in India for more than six years, and was instrumental in executing international shipments to many renowned companies. He held progressive positions and achieved specialization in Titanium ore manufacturing and its wide applications. Shaji is very active in community development and also in serving legal clinics for rural populations in Kerala, India. His academic credentials include a Post-Graduate Certificate in International Business from Sheridan College (Canada), a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Mahatma Gandhi University (India) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Cochin University of Science and Technology (India). Shaji received his CITP designation in June 2007.
Ray is the president of the Joyce Group Inc. The group, which specialises in international trade, finance and entrepreneurship was formed in 1992 and provides consulting and training services to both Canadian and International businesses. Past clients include the University of Calgary, Mount Royal College, The Consulting Engineers of Alberta, National Research Council, Western Economic Diversification and many other government and private organizations. The company has done work in Russia, Poland, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Belgium, and Jamaica. In 2005 the company conceived, and delivered the IFI BootCamp in conjunction with the four Western Canadian provinces featuring procurement officers from the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Inter American Development Bank and The European bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Peter is Manager, Trade and Logistics for EMS SATCOM (formerly CAL) with direct reports in Shipping, Receiving and Customs & Traffic Administration. His experience includes international trade contract review and approval, customer and supplier risk evaluations, global logistics, import and export licensing, implementation of export control systems, procedures and training as well as management of an international distribution operation in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Peter’s experience has been concentrated in the Satellite Communications and Advanced Space Technologies industries, with markets worldwide for Commercial, Government and Military applications. Peter took some of his FITTskills courses at the OCRI Entrepreneurship Centre.
Pierre Julien, CITP, is the founder and president of Zim-ex inc., a consulting company specializing in the international trade of agri-food products. Zim-ex’s mission is to help Canadian enterprises develop their international market. Zim-ex provides its clients with international market information regarding all aspects of international trade and is actively seeking buyers for their products. This includes involvement in numerous international exhibitions in order to anticipate market trends and monitor the arrival of new products and manufacturers.
Mr. Julian is also Chief Executive Officer of Zimexco Inc., a company specialized in importing and distributing food products and feed additives. Zimexco offers a wide range of ingredient materials including, among others: vitamins, antioxidants, proteins and dyes. In collaboration with its subsidiary in China and its overseas partners, Zimexco is able to effectively control the quality of their purchases from factory to its warehouse.
Mr. Julian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Laval University in Quebec. He successfully completed the FITTskills Program in 1997 at the Cégep François-Xavier Garneau in Québec and obtained his CITP designation in June 1998.
