François Khan, CITP

Francois Khan is a Co- Founder and Director of TrinScotia BDC (www.trinscotiabdc.com)., an international trade consulting firm based in Bedford, Nova Scotia. He has over 19 years work experience in education, oil and gas development (upstream and downstream), environmental management and international trade development. He has provided export development services for several successful Nova Scotia Multi- Sector trade missions to the Caribbean and was the Nova Scotia Caribbean Liaison from 2008 to 2009. He is a dual citizen of Canada and Trinidad and Tobago (T&T), so much of his work has involved developing business relationships between Atlantic Canada and T&T.

In addition to being a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP), he holds a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies (Hons.) from the University Of Waterloo and a Diploma in Pure and Applied Science from Vanier College, Montreal. Has a strong knowledge of the international oil and gas business having worked in senior positions for an operator (Petrotrin), service companies (Baker Hughes INTEQ and M.I Drilling Fluids) and a engineering/environmental consulting firm (Stantec).


Mozammel Khan, CITP

Mozammel Khan has 21 years of experience working in Electronics Engineering, and business development, presently working as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at MDI-Canada. MDI-Canada is an exporter established in 1999, procure & export Canadian; US manufactured defense, security, and airport equipments and spare parts with value added solution into overseas markets.

Prior to founding MDI-Canada, M. Khan was Engineering Manager, Team Leader, Hardware Development Engineer for various companies; Elysium Broadband Inc , Nortel Networks, Megatel, Banksoft,  Lava Computers in Canada,  Ericssion Telecom & Cewe Instruments AB in Sweden as well as Pulser Inc. in Taiwan, involved in the development and deploy of different electronic systems.

Tahir Khurshid, CITP/FIBP

Tahir is a global professional, possessing more than twenty-five years of experience, working with major multinational companies and advising clients. He has handled management positions with leading companies including P&G, PepsiCo, Unilever, McCormick, Bata and Mars during his career. Currently an international marketing, trade and business development consultant, Tahir’s educational background includes a BA, in Economics and International Relations, from Claremont McKenna College in California, and an MBA, in Marketing and International Management, from Rice University in Texas. Tahir has worked across five continents, in locations as diverse as Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Canada, Sudan, the UK, Ecuador, Pakistan and Iraq, delivering spectacular business results to his employers or clients. Tahir’s strengths lie in international management, trade promotion, channel development, business change processes, franchising, branding, retailing and market research.


Sandy M. Kirkwood-Pearce, CITP

Ms. Pearce is the Manager of Client Services for Sleegers Management Inc. Established in 1964, Sleegers Management specializes in corporate business controllership, accounting, and taxation services. As well, Sleegers provides business and operational consulting including exporting to foreign markets.


Harmeet S. Kohli, CITP

Mr. Kohli has been involved in International Business for the past 25 years. Mr. Kohli has received his core training in all the important aspects of international business from his involvement in the international family business and high level international academic training. The family business has vast interests in the Middle-East, India, Europe, Kenya, China, Canada, and the USA where they primarily deal in the import and export of consumer products. Mr. Kohli presently teaches various international business courses and is an International Trade Consultant as well. His expertise lies in import, export, sourcing products, freight forwarding, customs laws, trade finance, international law, and international economics and finance. Mr. Kohli is also a Certified Customs Specialist certified by the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers. Currently, Mr. Kohli is consulting to Canadian and International firms on the import and export of textiles, foodstuffs, and electronics.


Michael Kostiuk, CITP

Michael Kostiuk and Associates provides a wide range of consulting and research services in the areas of Rapid Transit, Public Transit, Heritage Streetcar Systems, Cartography, Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Project Management, Marketing, Regional Development, Coastal Zone Management, International Development and International Trade. Michael has a Masters in Geography from Carleton University, an Honours Degree in Geography (Regional Development) from the University of Ottawa, a Concentration Degree in Slavic Studies from the University of Ottawa, and a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa. He received his CITP from FITT in March 2003. Michael is also a Certified Environmental Practitioner.  Michael is also a qualified International election observer.
