Étienne Lagacé, CITP

Co- propriétaire de la compagnie NEEDImEx International Management Inc., une entreprise qui œuvre dans le secteur de la gestion international, et aussi co-propriétaire de PROJ-Ex Millwork Inc., entreprise manufacturière en ébénisterie architecturale pour les marchés locaux et étrangers. M. Lagacé habite à Campbellton au Nouveau-Brunswick dans la région du Restigouche Est et il a terminé ses études en technique du commerce international au Collège Communautaire du Nouveau Brunswick campus de Bathurst en juin 2005. Avant de reprendre ses études M. Lagacé a œuvré pour plusieurs années dans le secteur du tourisme où il a acquis la plupart de ses expériences à l´international. M. Lagacé possède la plupart de ses expériences de travail en temps que Gérant et au sein de la direction de la plupart des entreprises.


Marcel Lebleu, CITP

Marcel Lebleu joined the Trade Commissioner Service in 1987 after attending the Management Sciences Master Program of the Business School of the University of Montréal.

After postings in Cameroon and Costa Rica, he worked briefly for the Industrial Cooperation Program of the Canadian International Development Agency before moving back to the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade as Deputy Director for International Business Development for South America. He was appointed Commercial Counsellor at the Canadian Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina in July 1999 where he served until 2003. He subsequently served as Commercial Counsellor at the Canadian Embassy in Madrid (2003-2007). He is Director and Senior Trade Commissioner of DFAIT regional office for Quebec since 2007.


Tsuhan Isabella Tracy Lee, CITP

Tracy Lee has over 15 years working experience in the international trading business. She is proficient at international financial tools (such as Letter of Credits), international logistics, international sourcing, and international business development and management. Since 2006, Tracy has been working as an International Sales Coordinator at the Kryton International Inc. and exporting concrete waterproofing products from Vancouver all around the world. At Kryton, Tracy is mainly responsible for the international order processing and international new business development, where she excels at managing existing clients and exploring new markets for the company. In addition to this, Tracy assists the company’s executives in managing China’s representative office and distribution channels. Before this, Tracy spent 10 years in exporting garments and textiles from China to the to the American and European markets. She is well-versed in international trade knowledge, has great market acumen, excellent management skills, bilingual advantage, proactive approaches, and positive attitude. 


André Lépine, CITP

Instructor-practitioner and mentor,  André is specialized on the following topics:  Worldwide supply chain management; International transportation logistics (sea, air and inland movements) –Domestics and Int’l; International Insurance, marine, credit and political risks; Cargo Loss prevention and claims settlement. Involved in International Trade as practitioner and instructor for over 25 years, he has been Marine Manager and claim settling agent for one of the most important Insurer in Canada. Selected   amongst the first candidates in Québec to represent Export Development Canada- EDC on a “private” basis for credit and political risks of insurance.  Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) and certified associated “claims expert” delivered by the Insurance Institute of Canada, Mr. Lépine has one of the first certificate to be awarded  for the export management course in 1984  by L’École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal. Still involved in preparing lectures and seminars related to export activities, he is well appreciated as an instructor for colleges, associations, international freight forwarders and FITT. He has participated, written and published many documents related to marine cargo, credit and political risks insurance and the claims settlement. Speaking and writing the two official languages of our country, he received his CITP designation in March 2008.


Anastasia Lim, CITP

Anastasia Lim, CITP, is the Executive Director, University Relations with the University of Alberta. Before this, she was the Regional Director of the Canada School of Public Service for the Alberta, NWT and Nunavut Region. Previously, she held positions at Western Economic Diversification Canada as Acting Director of the Executive and Ministerial Secretariat, Chief of Corporate Administration, Special Advisor to the Deputy Minister´s Office, Policy and Planning Officer, Client Services Trade Officer, among others. She was a team leader with the Canada Business Service Centre and was previously a banker. She has worked with various levels of government ensuring an active western presence in international business. Since receiving her CITP designation in 1998, Ms. Lim has instructed the FITTskills program through on-line facilitation and formerly at Grant MacEwan College. She was a member of the CITP Certification and Accreditation Committee, representing Western Canada, to October 2007.


Byron Lindsay, CITP

Headquartered in the Atlantic Region, ACOA’s goal is to improve the economy of Atlantic Canadian communities through the successful development of business and job opportunities. ACOA’s Trade role is designed to strengthen the export performance of the Atlantic Region by enhancing the capabilities of small- and medium-sized businesses to establish and expand activities. Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency is a federal government agency.


Holly Liu, CITP

Holly is a business consultant with Cogito International Consulting and an instructor in the international business program at Mount Royal University in Calgary with more than 12 years of international business experience.  Her consulting practices include market analysis, developing market entry strategies, cross cultural training, and facilitating international trade negotiations. Holly has offered How to Do Business in China seminar series to the Government of Alberta and to local businesses. Previously, Holly headed a regional international trade office in China for more than 5 years and worked as a petrochemical engineer with Sinopec and CNPC Group of China for over 7 years. Holly holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA and received her CITP designation in 2009.


Cheryl Loadman, CITP

As manager of business development, Ms. Loadman provides business advice and assistance on behalf of the Saskatchewan government to Life Science companies interested in expanding into markets outside of Canada. Prior to this position she was the Senior Ministerial Assistant to the Honorable Janice MacKinnon, Office of the Minister of Economic & Co-operative Development for the Government of Saskatchewan. Ms. Loadman is involved in several health-related boards and committees as well as being involved in a number of community foundations and charity boards. She earned both a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan. She received her CITP in 2003.


Norman Lomow, CITP

Mr. Lomow is currently Professor and Coordinator of the International Business Program at Algonquin College. Norman has over thirty years of experience with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service. He held diplomatic postings in Milan, Italy and San Francisco. In Ottawa, he was Director of U.S. Business Development, and Director of Advanced Technology Marketing. He has represented Canadian business interests throughout Europe, U.S. and Asia. Norman is a graduate of the University of Manitoba (Economics), and completed the International Management Program at the University of Western Ontario, as well as courses in marketing, international business development, investment attraction, negotiations, and government. As well as teaching courses in international business/trade, and marketing; he has been guest lecturer at the University of California at Berkley, and at international meetings and conferences during postings to Europe and California. He received his CITP designation from FITT in 2005.


Ana Lourenco, CITP

Ms. Ana has extensive experience in the various areas of the freight forwarding industry. In 2004, she received the Professional Freight Forwarders Designation. She is committed to customers´ satisfaction. She believes flexibility and general ability to respond to customers´ requirements, expectations and needs in an ever-changing global market place are the key elements. She has a Business Certificate.


Leroy Lowe, CITP

Mr. Lowe began his career as an Aerospace Engineering Officer and Project Manager in the Canadian Airforce. Leroy subsequently joined a Fortune 1000 software, electronics and engineering firm in London, Ontario in 1991. In his eventual role as the Director of Sales, Marketing & Business Development, Leroy recruited, managed and directed a diverse network of agents, distributors and strategic alliance partners in 20+ countries worldwide. Leroy is currently an active international marketing consultant in the software (aerospace) sector and a full-time faculty member in International Business at the Nova Scotia Community College. Leroy has a Masters Degree in Adult Education (MAEd) and an MBA. He is also a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP).


Donna Lund, CITP

Donna Lund is the Manager of International Sales for Cavendish Farms. Cavendish Farms is a processor of frozen pre-fried potato products and appetizers with headquarters on the east coast of Canada. They sell to over 50 countries worldwide. 

Ms. Lund has been employed by Cavendish Farms for over 30 years. Her international experience includes roles in accounts receivable, credit, logistics, customer service and, for the last 10 years, sales. 

Ms. Lund studied at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, earning her Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1979. She recently completed her FITT courses, taken mainly through the World Trade Centre Atlantic Canada. Donna was granted her CITP designation in May, 2010.


Wendy Luther, CITP

As part of Nova Scotia Business Inc.’s Export Development team, Ms. Luther works one on one with Nova Scotia exporters to help them develop and pursue individual market diversification and penetration strategies. Wendy is responsible for coordinating and implementing all facets of NSBI’s export development programs and services, including trade missions, in both domestic and foreign markets. Wendy has recently been appointed as the Private Sector Liaison Officer for the World Bank Group and the Inter-American Development Bank for Nova Scotia, and is currently working towards her Executive MBA at Saint Mary´s University.

Prior to joining Nova Scotia Business Inc., Ms. Luther was a Trade Consultant with the Atlantic Canada World Trade Centre in Halifax, NS and an Advertising Account Executive for Coat Magazine in Vancouver, BC.
