John W. MacDonald, CITP

Mr. MacDonald is an economist, logistician, and trainer with over thirty years of experience in the public and private sectors, and academia. A business lecturer associated with Algonquin College since 1987, he has also worked in Asia. As Principal of MacDonald Learning International (MLI) he offers consultancy and training services along four business lines: Transportation; Logistics Management; Marketing and International Trade. John has been a FITTskills instructor since 1997 and has taught six FITT modules. He received his CITP in 2002.

John W. MacDonald est un économiste, logisticien et formateur qui compte plus de trente années d´expérience dans les secteurs public et privé ainsi que dans le monde universitaire. Chargé de cours qui enseigne les affaires au collège Algonquin depuis 1987, il a déjà travaillé en Asie. À titre d´ associé de MacDonald Learning International (MLI), il offre des services d ´expert-conseil et de formation dans quatre secteurs : transport, gestion logistique, commercialisation et commerce internationaux. Instructeur pour le programme FITThabiletés depuis 1997, M. MacDonald a enseigné six modules. Il a reçu sa certification PACI en 2002.

Lynn MacDonald, CITP

Ms. MacDonald has over 11 years experience in management, over 7 years experience in marketing, communications and project management and over 3 years experience in the international market. She is currently a consultant with a crown corporation. She was the International Marketing Manager for The Card Group – which has five divisions in 12 locations in Canada, United States and Chile. She was responsible for developing and implementing international business and marketing plans. She was also involved with the new companies setup and mergers and acquisitions of international companies. Prior to being the International Marketing Manager for The Card Group, she worked as an export marketing coordinator with an engineering firm, worked at a number of hi-tech companies in PEI in a communication capacity. She completed her FITTskills program at the University of Prince Edward Island – School of Business and received her CITP in 2004.

Peter Macdonald, CITP

Peter presently works as a Trade Assistant for the U.S. Commercial Service at the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto. As a Trade Assistant, he researches Canadian Industry sectors to identify opportunities for U.S. exporters. He also writes reports on industry sectors and regulations, and assists in finding Canadian customers (and partners) for U.S. companies. Before working with the U.S. Commercial Service, Peter owned and operated his own successful floral importation business, Andean Rose Gardens Inc. He brought the company to profitability quickly, and supplied over 25 Toronto-based florist shops with weekly standing orders of fresh cut flowers imported from Ecuador and Columbia. Peter holds a Post Graduate Certificate in International Business and Trade from Sheridan College and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Spanish from the University of Toronto. He speaks Spanish fluently and has extensive work, volunteeer and educational expierience in Latin America.

Alexander R. Malaket, CITP

OPUS Advisory Services, International provides global trade, research and management consulting services to Canadian exporters, importers, their trading partners, and trade service providers. The Principal of the firm brings over ten years of trade finance and trade consulting experience to the market, in addition to several years in financial services. Mr. Malaket spent five years with the Trade Finance group at a major Canadian bank, and subsequently worked as a senior consultant based in New York, for a large international consultancy. In the latter role, Mr. Malaket’s clients included several of the top trade banks in North America, with assignments ranging from complex systems implementations to operational reviews, market positioning analyses and global strategy engagements. Opus Advisory is a member of FITT, the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters, and the Toronto Board of Trade. Claudia-Ann Malette, CITP

Mme Malette est Directrice du marketing et des communications au Collège Boréal à Sudbury, où elle est responsable du marketing et recrutements des apprenants à l’échelle nationale et internationale. Mme Malette était de 1996 à 2000 coordonnatrice du programme international à ce même collège, où elle a donné des cours en commerce international. Elle a aussi occupé le poste de Directrice du marketing international pour Héli-Nord Aviation Inc., une école internationale de pilotage et de vol de nolissement, et depuis 1998, présidente de MS Leasing & Consultants Corp, sa propre entreprise de consultation en préparation à l’exportation. Dans le cadre de ses fonctions chez Heli-Nord, elle est appellée à organiser et à participer aux foires internationales d’aviation, notamment le Paris Airshow, Asian Aerospace (Singapore), Air Show Canada, Salon d’aviation de MonteCarlo et Helitech (Angleterre). En plus de participer à des missions commerciales et des présentations de vente aux États-Unis, en Chine, en Romanie, en Suisse et en France, elle est responsable du matériel promotionnel, du marketing et de la publicité. Mme Malette est titulaire d’un Baccalauréat en Arts avec une concentration en Communications de l’Université d’Ottawa et de la reconnaissance de Certified Marketing Director de l’International Council of Shopping Centres à New York.

Andrea Mandel-Campbell, CITP

Andrea Mandel-Campbell is a veteran journalist and author of the book Why Mexicans Don’t Drink Molson: Rescuing Canadian Companies from the Suds of Global Obscurity. Ms. Mandel-Campbell was Bureau Chief for London’s Financial Times in Mexico and correspondent for Business Week magazine in Argentina. She has written extensively on the impacts of the North American Free Trade Agreement, global corporate consolidation, industrial policy and institutional reform. She is also a Contributing Editor at BNN - the Business News Network - where her focus is on competitiveness analysis. Ms. Mandel-Campbell has, through her travels to the cool valleys of Chinese Manchuria and Argentina’s pink presidential palace, been afforded a unique glimpse into the inner workings of globalization. Andrea is also on the board of the Canadian Council for the Americas. She received her CITP designation in recognition of her experience, education and ongoing commitment to enhancing the competitiveness of Canadian companies in the global marketplace.


John Manley, CITP

The Honourable John Manley was first elected to Parliament in 1988 and held several senior portfolios in the federal government including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and Finance Minister. After leaving the federal Cabinet, Mr. Manley chaired a Review Committee reporting to the Ontario Minister of Energy on the role of Ontario Power Generation.

Before entering politics, Mr. Manley practiced business and income tax law in Ottawa. He also served as Chairman of the Ottawa-Carleton Board of Trade from 1985 to 1986.

Mr. Manley is senior counsel at McCarthy Tetrault and provides strategic advice in matters relating to the public sector. He also consults clients in how to deal with foreign governments. He has recently been assigned co-chair to a new task force to examine North American integration since NAFTA, under the Council on Foreign Relations. He sits on the Boards of Directors of Nortel Networks and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce as well as a number of advisory Boards and not-for-profit organizations.


David Mannen, CITP

Mr. Mannen joined Medtech shortly after graduating from the University of Western Ontario in 2000. He held several positions with Medtech including International Market Analyst, Senior Account Executive and North American Sales Coordinator. In 2005, David assumed an Account Manager Sales Management position with the Practical Law Company (PLC) in London, England providing legal know-how, transactional analysis and market intelligence for business lawyers. In 2007, David returned to Canada and assumed an Account Management position with dna13. dna13 develops and sells industry-transforming communications and stakeholder management software to help establish brands and highly visible organizations effectively manage their corporate communications, media an stakeholder relations processes.


Carolina Marin, CITP/FIBP

Professional in International Business with three years of overall experience, two of them in international trade supporting operations and dealing with customers worldwide. Experienced in coordination of international shipments from/to diverse markets including North America, South America, Africa and Asia. One year of experience in finance, experienced SAP ECC 6.0 end-user in Sales, Materials and Cost Center accounting modules as well as in SAP BW. Formal education includes Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business and a Graduate Certificate in International Business Management.


Milos Markovic, CITP/FIBP

An expert, with more than 20 years of experience in international trade, structured export/import financing and business development. Specialized in developing businesses in European markets. Lived and worked in former Yugoslavia, Cyprus, UK , Poland , Bulgaria , Turkey, Russia , Ukraine , Greece , Italy , France .  Currently hold the position of  ’Assistant to GM of Mitsubishi Canada’, subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation Japan. Responsible for developing Cross Atlantic business ventures, as well as, focusing on foreign distribution, marketing and sales for various products, commodities, capital goods and services. Hold a highly creative and proactive approach in conducting business, risk taking and turn-around management. Experience in off-set, buy- back, debt financing and other structured financial arrangements that are used to promote export-import, trading and project developments.


Douglas Marshall, CITP

Mr. Marshall is President of his own international trade consulting firm, specializing in assisting clients with international trade activities-whether it be a market start up issue, a market entry strategy, or any number of issues that companies and individuals encounter in developing and implementing their international trade strategy. Mr. Marshall embraces three principles as the basis for his approach with clients: a) focus on the entrepreneurial aspects of doing business; b) international trade is a critical factor in business development; c) strategic plans, business plans, and marketing plans are necessary documents in any business. Mr. Marshall has over 25 years of practical, hands-on experience in both the public and private sectors.


Tim Marshall, CITP

Tim Marshall is currently employed by the Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP) as Director, International Development. In this position, Tim is responsible for STEP´s activities in all countries located in the Eastern Hemisphere except the European Union. Tim´s professional experience covers thirty plus years as a trade professional in both Africa and Canada. Tim travels regularly and conducts business in the Former Soviet Union, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), China, and the Pacific Rim.

In addition to the CITP designation, Tim is also a Fellow of the British Institute of Agriculture Engineers (FIAgEng).


Nelly Martinez Fonseca, CITP

 Nelly worked as an Accountant in Mexico City for 3 years and has been working for the Trade office of Costa Rica in Toronto as a Export Promotion Assistant since Dec 2006. She has a bachelor’s in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Certificate in International Business and Trade from Confederation College.


Paule Mathieu, CITP

Mrs. Paule Mathieu joined the Montreal Office of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) as a Trade Commissioner in 2006. Previously, in Québec, she worked as Manager of the Liaison Office of the Canadian Commercial Corporation. For 10 years, Ms. Mathieu assisted Ontario firms in the development of business strategies and international market entry plans at the Toronto Office of DFAIT. She has extensive planning, accounting, and budgeting experience, as well as a thorough knowledge of human resources and public relations, which she has gained in both the private and public sectors. Mrs. Mathieu is fluent in French, English and Spanish.

Mme Paule Mathieu a joint le bureau de Montréal du Ministère des Affaires étrangères et Commerce international Canada (MAECI) comme Déléguée commerciale en 2006. Auparavant, elle a travaillé au Québec comme Gestionnaire du Bureau de liaison de la Corporation Commerciale Canadienne. Pendant 10 ans, au bureau de Toronto de MAECI, Paule aidait des sociétés ontariennes à concevoir des stratégies d’entreprise et des plans d’entrée sur le marché international. Elle a une vaste expérience de la planification, de la comptabilité et de l’établissement du budget, ainsi qu’une connaissance approfondie des domaines des ressources humaines et des relations publiques, acquises à la fois dans le secteur privé et dans le secteur public. Mme Mathieu parle couramment le français, l’anglais et l’espagnol.


Donna Mauro, CITP

Ms. Mauro is the Development Officer, New Exporter Initiatives with Alberta Economic Development. She is responsible for developing and facilitating programs, training seminars, and workshops for new exporters. She works with other organizations to provide on-going support for companies at various stages of export readiness. Donna is also a member of Trade Team Alberta and of Team Canada Inc. Prior to her current position, Donna worked at The Business Link, the Alberta arm of the Canada Business Service Centre network. In 1998-99, Donna gained invaluable international marketing experience and fluency in Spanish while managing programs in Buenos Aires for AIESEC, an international student organization. While in Argentina, she also acted as a project coordinator for the Canadian Embassy. Donna has a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Marketing from the University of Alberta.


James May, CITP

James May is the Director of Business Development of the Trade and Logistics vertical at CrimsonLogic (North America) incorporated. In this capacity, James manages the day to day operations of this growing division. He has broad knowledge and extensive expertise in International Trade and customs clearance and compliance issues. Prior to joining CrimsonLogic, James has spent close to four years living and working in the Asian regions where he gained an interest and a falre for the topic of International Trade. James holds a bachelors degree and a post-graduate diploma in International Business, is a Certified Customs Specialist CCS designate administered by the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers and also a Certified International Trade Professional CITP designate administered by FITT. James has worked extensively on the recently implemented Advanced Commercial Infomation (ACI) system for ocean and air carriers in Canada, and has worked extensively with highway carriers preparing for compliance for the e-truck manifest filings that are a part of the US ACE system.


Suzanne McCrimmon, CITP

Ms. McCrimmon is currently the Business Development Manager for the Municipality of Clarington. Prior to accepting this position she was part of the OMAFRA Export Marketing Unit as Export Marketing Officer focusing on the sectors of organic, specialty gourmet and dairy products. After graduating from the FITT program at Ryerson, she moved back to Ottawa to work at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, as an International Market Analyst for Team Canada Inc, with a focus on the US and agriculture. Missing the private sector and the challenges that face SMEs when developing their export strategies, she became a member of the Export Advisor Team in Durham Region. The program reached across Ontario and was the export development initiative supported by Industry Canada and HRDC.


Lorrie McFadden, CITP

Ms. McFadden is a Professional Agrologist specializing in the international trade of agri-food products. As a Senior Marketing and Trade Officer with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, she provides clients with international market information regarding all aspects of international trade, organizes incoming buyer missions, and assists companies in preparing to meet foreign buyers. Ms. McFadden previously worked as a management consultant with Serecon Management Consulting Inc. and with Deloitte and Touche Management Consultants. In that capacity, she conducted market analysis and market research for agricultural products in international markets as well as policy and program development for the agri-food industry. Ms. McFadden holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph, completed the FITTskills Program in 1996, and received her CITP designation in 1998.


Peter McGovern, CITP

Peter McGovern began his diplomatic career with the Department of External Affairs and International Trade in 1982. He has served abroad in Tunisia, Belgium, France (OECD) and Italy. His last assignment overseas was as Consul General to Milan from 2001 to 2005.  From 2005 until today he has served progressively as Director General North American Commercial Relations (2005-2006), Director General, Commercial Relations: Asia and Latin America (2006-2008) , Director General, South, Southeast Asia and Oceania (2008-2009), Executive Director, Critical Incidents (2009) Assistant Deputy Minister, Summits Management Office (2009-2010), and Assistant Deputy Minister, Asia and Chief Trade Commissioner (September 2010).

As a member and director of Team Canada from 1997 to 2001, Mr. McGovern conducted a number of missions around the world with the goal of improving bilateral relations and promoting greater trade between countries. From 1993 to 1997, he was Counselor for Trade and Agricultural Policy with the Canadian delegation to the Organization for Economic Co operation and Development (OECD). From 1990 to 1993 he served in the Privy Council Office as a   foreign policy adviser to the Prime Minister of Canada.


David McGuire, CITP

Mr. McGuire is the CEO of Evolution Business Consulting Inc. (EBC), a Charlottetown-based consulting firm designed specifically to work with small and medium-sized businesses. EBC focuses primarily on export development, sales and marketing. David works with client companies from a variety of sectors, ranging from producers and manufacturers to service providers, utilizing hands-on expertise in a business development role. Mr. McGuire received the CITP designation in 2006.


Thomas McKaig, CITP

Thomas McKaig is a Canadian author, professor, business advisor, and keynote international business speaker. His popular textbook, Global Business Today, 2nd Canadian Edition (McGraw-Hill Ryerson) is widely used across Canada. This is a core textbook in many international trade courses at university and college levels, as well as Executive MBA programmes. A multilingual businessman, Thomas speaks fluent English, French, Italian, German, proficient Spanish, advanced beginner Russian. He has extensive business experience in the Middle East, Africa, North, Central, South America, Central Asia, East/West Europe. Thomas is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies at the University of Guelph, and has been recognized as Special Graduate Faculty by the University’s Board of Graduate Studies. He teaches in the Executive MBA programme and undergraduate fields. Thomas brings a unique and multilingual competitive advantage to small, medium or large companies seeking to enter or expand business in foreign markets.


Oba Meshimo, CITP/FIBP

Oba Meshimo is the CEO of Zephiroth Incorporated, founded in 2007 to provide Consultancy, Trade and Contract facilitation services for Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters. Oba has over 12 years working experience in procurement, processing and exports of Agricultural Commodities, Solid Minerals and Precious Gem stones garnered from his West African experience. His Canadian Consultancy practice;  provided to both Global Private companies and Foreign governments includes providing Contracts Negotiation, Management and execution related to the sales of goods and services. Oba holds a B.Sc. In Quantity Surveying/Construction Cost Consulting from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria, Maritime Trade and Transport Diploma from West Coast Maritime Institute in British Columbia and received his CITP/FIBP designation from FITT in 2011.


 Abel Mharapara, CITP

International trade management professional with over 10 years experience: in export market development involving small to medium sized enterprises in Zimbabwe providing dynamic leadership initiatives and professional coaching for winning markets especially in the European Community and the African market viz Comesa and Sadc. He has advised the Zimbabwe government on opportunities for drawing up favorable bilateral and multilateral trade agreements; as well as advised government on issues concerning the WTO and International commodity agreements and the general formulation of our industrial and international trade policy regimes and their impact on the  global market. Abel  Mharapara holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Zimbabwe majoring in Marketing and general business administration. Diploma in Marketing Management from the Institute of Marketing Management of South Africa and is a FITT Certified International Trade Professional awarded in 2008.


Brad Michnik, CITP

Born, raised and educated in Saskatchewan, Mr. Michnik graduated in 1988 from the University of Saskatchewan majoring in marketing and general business. In January 2003, Brad received his Certified International Professional (CITP) designation.

Brad has amassed over 20 years of experience in export market development. He has been with STEP since October of 1996. In his management role at STEP, he provides leadership in developing initiatives that will promote, encourage and facilitate growth in trade/exports  to many regions of the world with the end goal  to increase export sales of Saskatchewan goods, services and technologies.

Brad serves as a member of Trade Team Saskatchewan’s Management Committee, on various committees with the North Saskatoon Business Association (NSBA), is a past Chairman of the International Business Center for the Western Canada Farm Progress Show, and has been a director and organizer for various other international committees and trade shows.


Mélanie Michon, CITP

Mélanie Michon is employed as a Claims Services Manager with the Claims and Recoveries Team at Export Development Canada (EDC). EDC is a Crown Corporation that provides innovative financing, insurance and bonding solutions to Canadian companies that export goods and services, or invest in other countries. EDC helps Canadian enterprises’ manage risk and capitalize on trade opportunities around the globe. We operate in 200 markets worldwide, including 130 emerging markets. The Claims and Recoveries Team’s activities include helping EDC’s policyholders deal with overdue receivables and by simplifying the claims and debt recovery process. Mélanie’s previous work experience at EDC includes working with the Legal Services and with the Small Business Credit Insurance Underwriting teams. EDC is financially self-sufficient and operates on commercial principles.


Brian Mitchell, CITP

Brian Mitchell has over 20 years of experience in international trade and in financial management. Currently Brian serves as Executive Director of TFO Canada (Trade Facilitation Office Canada), a non-profit organization which provides trade development services for exporters from emerging markets and developing countries. Prior to joining TFO Canada in 2004, Brian served as senior financial officer and international sales manager for a publicly listed Canadian software firm, including two years spent managing their European subsidiary. Brian has also operated his own consulting practice, and in the late 1980s he was a lecturer at the Institute of Public Administration & Management, University of Sierra Leone. Brian has been a Chartered Accountant since 1988 and obtained his CITP designation in 2010.


Kyle Mitchell, CITP

Kyle Mitchell is the Associate Manager of Research with Corporate Services, a division of Concentra Financial. Corporate Services was created to support the business needs of SaskCentral and Concentra Financial. Kyle leads a team focused on the development of market and competitive intelligence supporting the strategic direction of each client organization.


Andrew Moase, CITP

Andrew has broad industry experience working as a consultant to SMEs (Small and Medium sized Enterprises) in a variety of industries; assisting them in developing international market entry strategies. He also has three years experience working for a leading aerospace company, where he managed a variety of international contracts. Currently Andrew works as a business consultant and instructor with Holland College and is in the process of attaining his CAE (Certified Adult Educator) designation.

Andrew is fluent in both English and French; he also has a working knowledge of Italian. Andrew received his CITP designation in October 2006.


Kevin Moase, CITP

Kevin Moase has worked as a Project Manager for Timeless Medical Systems since January 1st, 2006. During his time with Timeless, Kevin has garnered a wide array of experience dealing with all facets of project management in the world of international trade.  

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University, a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation from the Forum for International Trade Training and a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute.

Rafi Moradians, CITP

Rafi Moradians is Advisor International Trade and Marketing to Deputy Minister Economic and International Affairs, Iran Ministry of Industry and Mine. During his career spanning over 28 years, he has the opportunity of broadening his knowledge and gaining experience in different areas of international trade. Prior to his present position, he worked as a "Project Marketing and Sales" expert with MAPNA Group, an Iranian Power Generation Corporation and EPC contractor, for 2 years. He has worked as International Marketing and Sales specialist with different Canadian companies, representing Canadian and European products to US, Middle East, and South East Asia for 10 years. He has been with Vastera (Now JP Morgan) Managed Services as Manager Special Trade Programs, serving to Nortel and Lucent, having previously worked as Free Trade Agreement and Customs Optimization specialist, International Logistics & Contract Management Expert for USCO Logistics (now Kuhn & Nagel) and Nortel for 6 years. He worked as an International Trade Consultant for 10 years, speaks foreign languages and has B.Sc. in cheminstry.


Murray Morgan, CITP

Murray is the Coordinator of the International Business Management Program at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario.  He has extensive international experience in over thirty countries with blue-chip organizations such as PepsiCo Inc. and SC Johnson. Murray received his CITP designation in 2008.


Bruno Morin, CITP

Bruno has been practising international trade for more than 10 years. In the 1990´s, he worked for a Texas-based company where he was responsible for the growth of three product lines on a global basis. Since 200, Bruno has managed the international sales for one of Alcan´s product line. He has traveled exte4nsively and has conducted business in over 60 countries.

Bruno is actively involved with FITT as Board of Director, Certification and Accreditation Committee, and the recent National Task Force for CITP Competency Review. He is also a member of CME´s International Committee (Quebec division) and the co-chair for the 2008 Canadian Chemical Engineering Conference.

Born in Quebec, Bruno studied at Sherbrooke University where he graduated with a degree in chemical engineering.


Desarai Mosher, CITP

As a Senior Consultant and Coach with D’Maya Consulting and Management Inc., Desarai advises clients across various industries and sizes, at international and domestic level to determine export readiness and plans of action for expanding into international markets, as well as offering creative solutions and planning for domestic markets. She brings a passion for coaching companies through export-preparedness to the Atlantic Canada region, working from the community of Truro in her home province of Nova Scotia.

Along with coaching, Desarai also provides hands-on international trade advisory services, via development of comprehensive market research and technical business documents including; business plans, proposals, presentations and project briefs.

Valeria Motet, CITP

Ms. Motet has over 25 years experience in international trade. She successfully completed the FITTskills program on-line, and she received her CITP designation in May 2000.


Trevor Mulligan, CITP

Trevor Mulligan is an Asset Manager (Aerospace – Transportation) with the Asset Management Team at Export Development Canada (EDC). The Asset Management Team is responsible for the management of EDC’s commercial loan and guarantee assets, post first disbursement, with strategies and initiatives that mitigate risks associated with these assets, preserve capital and optimize portfolio, ensuring and creating risk capacity to support EDC’s mandate.  Export Development Canada is Canada’s export credit agency, offering innovative financing, insurance and risk management solutions to help Canadian exporters and investors expand their international business. Every year, EDC’s knowledge and partnerships are used by more than 8,300 Canadian companies and their global customers in up to 200 markets worldwide.  Approximately 80% of EDC’s customers are small and medium-sized businesses.


Carlos Emilio Munante, CITP

Carlos Munante is a Management Consular Officer for the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. He has worked both in Ottawa and abroad including assignments to Guatemala and Guyana and currently Madrid, Spain as Counsellor and Consul. Carlos has extensive experience in customs, logistics, contracting, finance and human resources, as well as actively supporting Canada’s Trade, Consular and Public Diplomacy programs abroad. Carlos has also had hands-on responsibility for high level missions to Central America such as the one led by then Minister of State for New and Emerging Markets, Gar Knudson, organised in support of potential exporters. He also played an integral role in the organization of Prime Minister visit to Santo-Domingo in 2003.


Megan Murray, CITP

Megan Murray is employed as a Financing Manager with the Small Business Finance Team (SBF) at Export Development Canada (EDC). The SBF team provides financing solutions to exporters with annual sales of less than $25M.

EDC is a Crown Corporation that provides financing and risk management services to Canadian exporters and investors in up to 200 markets worldwide.

In 2005 EDC´s services and deal structuring capabilities helped to facilitate $57.5 billion in transactions for nearly 7,000 Canadian companies. Approximately 90 percent of EDC´s customers are small and medium-sized businesses. Canadian companies utilize EDC services in virtually every world market, however those services can be particularly effective in facilitating trade and investment in emerging markets that are opportunity rich but can also pose increased levels of risk.

EDC is financially self-sufficient and operates on commercial principles.
