Vince Taddeo is the Vice President International for Cavendish Farms Corporation. Established in 1980, Cavendish Farms is a processor and marketer of frozen pre-fried potato products to the world. They sell their products to over 30 countries worldwide.
Mr. Taddeo has been directly involved in International sales, marketing, logistics and market development for over 30 years. He has experience in developing trade programs for over 50 countries and manages effectively in 4 languages.
A successful lobbyist for the fish and vegetable industry, he accessed multimillion dollar grants, initiated and developed government food aid programs, helped eliminate restrictive duties for fish in Mexico and is presently engaged in negotiations with Provincial and Federal ministers to obtain a Free Trade Deal with CAFTA – DR (Central America and Dominican Republic).
Vince received his CITP designation in 2005.
Ms. Tang is working in one of the eight biggest Japanese trading companies active in sales/marketing, distribution, joint venture investment projects and assembly/manufacturing of various industrial/consumer related products. The company works through an international network of over 100 offices and more than 200 facilities around the globe. She has been engaged in international trade for many years and actively involved in new product development. Ms. Tang has extensive experience in handling various import/export transactions and joint venture projects, including food products, chemicals/pharmaceutical products, building materials and the pressure packed automotive fields with both domestic and international customers and suppliers.
Richard works as an Ocean Import Coordinator within the Operations department at Kintetsu World Express (KWE). He assists businesses with handling their ocean freight imports into Canada by working closely with steamship lines, overseas agents, customs brokers, and cartage companies in ensuring that all shipments are managed and transported in an effective and efficient manner to their final destination. Within the freight forwarding industry, Richard has gained valuable skills and experience in logistics and their value in the future development and promotion of international business. Richard holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, and is a graduate of the International Business Management program at Seneca College. He achieved his CITP designation in 2010.
Presently a Trade Commissioner at the Canadian High Commission in Dhaka, Bangladesh and working as a business development professional since Oct 1995. An MBA from Bangladesh’s premium business school, Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, I have also have a Masters in Applied Physics and electronics. The primary purpose of my job is to develop Canadian trade and investment in to Bangladesh.

Raquel Telford is a private contractor/consultant in international business development and trade. Mrs. Telford held an import/export planner role with Alcatel-Lucent Canada Inc. She arranged domestic and international logistics with compliance to customs regulations and procedures in the USA, Latin America, Europe, Middle-east and the Asian Pacific region. Prior to working with Alcatel-Lucent, Mrs. Telford held positions with DHL Global Forwarding, the ZW Group and Nanometrics Seismological Instruments. With over 10 years of experience in business development and as an entrepreneur, Mrs. Telford was co-owner of several small businesses in the Ottawa region including restaurants and a culinary equipment provider.
In May 2010 Raquel graduated with honours from Algonquin College where she completed her diploma in international business and gained her CITP with FITT. Mrs. Telford has a scholastic research background in international business practices in Vietnam, Brazil and Indonesia. Born and raised in Venezuela, Mrs. Telford is strongly familiar with Spanish and is also fluent in Arabic.
As a manager in the Steel Division of Mitsui Canada’s Vancouver office, Lori is responsible for importing a variety of specialty steel products from Japan and other Asian mills for customers in the manufacturing, mining and oil and gas sectors in B.C. and Alberta. She is an active member of several business organizations and networking associations in Vancouver and is committed to utilizing her international trade as well as sales and marketing expertise to explore and develop new business opportunities.
Mr. Treleaven is a consultant in international business based in Sidney, British Columbia. Following a career in the Foreign Service, Mr. Treleaven joined Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) as President & CEO in 2000, a position from which he retired in 2005.
During his career in the Trade Commissioner Service, Mr. Treleaven served in Sao Paulo, San Juan (Puerto Rico), London, San Jose (Costa Rica), Hong Kong and Tokyo. From 1997 to 2000, Canada´s Ambassador to the Philippines.
He is founding Director of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association (HKCBA), a Director of the Canadian Council for Africa, the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) and a former Director of SASKFILM. He is a member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific Business Network.
Trish Tully is VP, Marketing and Sales with Survival Systems Limited (SSL). She has been an integral team player with SSL for 14 years and is currently responsible for new business development, project management, and is one of four corporate managers who successfully operate SSL. Ms. Tully is responsible for strategic and tactical negotiations that lead to secured SSL product and service sales, and she has developed a wide array of international business acumen, having traveled abroad extensively. She holds an HR Management Certificate, Bachelor of Commerce, and Executive MBA from Saint Mary’s University, and a Strategic Marketing Management certificate from Harvard. Ms. Tully received her Certified International Trade Professional (C.I.T.P.) designation through the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) in 2008, and she won an award in this program for her International Marketing Plan submission.
Ms. Turnbull is the Vice President, International Trade and Development at Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) where she is responsible for CME’s international trade activities and all CME’s international projects. She is also the secretariat to the Development Aid and Trade Promotion Committee, responsible for two international development conferences a year, and manages the Canadian Awards for International Cooperation. She currently chairs, or is a member of, a number of boards including the University of Toronto’s International Development Studies Program, Technology Partnerships Canada, Save the Children Canada, CIDA’s Youth Initiatives, Queen’s University, Partners in Rural Development, the Canadian and African Business Women’s Alliance, and FITT. She also teaches a course in Project Management to International Development Studies students at the University of Toronto. Before joining CME, Ms. Turnbull was President of Agrodev Canada Inc. and had worked in increasingly more senior positions at Agrodev from 1982-1997, working on over 100 economic, environmental, resource management, and social development projects funded by bilateral and multilateral donors, governments, and the private sector; in more than 60 developing countries. She began her working career as a Development Officer for the International Development Research Centre of Canada. She has a B.Sc (Hons) from Queens, a M.Sc (Oceanography) from McGill and has an Executive Management Degree from the University of Calgary.
