Going Global
FITTskills is the premier suite of comprehensive global business training in the world today, and is the educational requirement of the highly sought-after Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation.

The FITTskills program consists of eight courses, to be delivered as a series, individually or incorporated into a business program of study.

An alliance with FITT allows your students to gain a competitive advantage and a step ahead towards professional certification, making your program of greater value to the student.
Interested in acquiring a taste of what the global business environment is all about? The Going Global suite is a series of workshops designed to do just that – an introduction to the basic concepts of international trade.

Going Global is a series of six workshops, of approximately 3 hours each that acan be delivered as a series or individually.

Customizable. Affordable. Perfect for the office environment. Going Global workshops are a great way to build awareness of global business today.

What types of alliances with FITT are available?
There are two ways of working with FITT:

1) delivery of the FITTskills program; or

2) accrediting your international business programs/course(s).

Options for each are outlined below.



FITTskills Options

FITTskills Delivery Partner - Option 1
Classroom delivery of FITTskills
Description: FITTskills educational partners program delivered in classroom by a partner. Partner is responsible for facilities, hiring of instructors and administering the FITTskills examinations. If located in British Columbia, must be registered with PCTIA as an “accredited” institution.

Benefits:
  • FITT developed curriculum and examinations = readily available training program
  • Reduced resource allocation by institution
  • 2-for-1 for student - advanced standing towards CITP
  • Promotional support from FITT
  • Delivery partner sets the tuition rate
  • Instructor manuals & .PPT presentations provided

Cost:
  • Mandatory FITT Corporate Membership
  • $75 + tax per textbook, per participant, per course plus shipping
  • $75 + tax per examination, per participant, per course 

Process: Submission of Delivery Partnership Application.

FITTskills Delivery Partner - Option 2
Online delivery of FITTskills
Description: FITTskills educational program licensed to partner for online delivery. Partner is responsible for conversion to its own online platform, technical support, hiring of instructors, and administering the FITTskills examiniations. If located in British Columbia, must be registered with PCTIA as an “accredited” institution.

Benefits:
  • FITT developed curriculum and examinations = readily available training program
  • FITT developed online lesson plans
  • Ability to delivery at anytime and anywhere in the world
  • Ability to add FITTskills to your online suite
  • 2-for-1 for student – advanced standing towards CITP
  • Promotional support from FITT
  • Delivery partner sets the tuition rate
  • Instructor manuals & .PPT presentations provided
Cost:
  • Mandatory FITT Corporate Membership
  • $75 + tax per textbook, per participant, per course plus shipping
  • $75 + tax per examination, per participant, per course  
  • Annual licensing fee of $1,250 + tax per course, or $1,000 + tax per course if all 8 FITTskills course are licensed

Accreditation Options

Accredited Institution - Option 1
Accreditation of international business program
Description: Educational program recognized by FITT as meeting all of the CITP competencies.

Benefits:
  • Value-added to the institutions international business program
  • Recognition of business program as meeting the CITP competencies
  • 2-for-1 for student - advanced standing towards CITP
  • Promotional support from FITT
Cost:
  • For the student, $75 + tax per application up to eight credits
  • For the student, $195 + tax to write the Professional Examination
Process: Submission of course syllabi for evaluation by FITT -  complete the Program Evaluation Guide

Accredited Institution - Option 2
Accreditation of an international business course(s)
Description: Education course(s) recognized by FITT as meeting some of the CITP competencies.

Benefits:
  • Value-added to the institutions international business program
  • Recognition of business program as meeting the CITP competencies
  • 2-for-1 for student - advanced standing towards CITP
  • Promotional support from FITT
Cost:
  • For the student, $75 + tax per application up to eight credits
  • For the student, costs associated with completing the CITP educational requrements
Process: Submission of course syllabi for evaluation by FITT - complete the Program Evaluation Guide

Accredited Institution - Option 3
Accreditation of an international business program and FITTskills examination administrator
 Description: Education program recognized by FITT as meeting all of the CITP competencies, and authorized to administer a minimum of two FITTskills national examinations.

Benefits:
  • Value-added to the institutions international business program
  • Recognition of business program as meeting all the CITP competencies
  • 2-for-1 for student - advanced standing towards CITP designation
  • Students are exempt from writing the Professional Examination
  • Promotional support from FITT
Cost:
  • Mandatory FITT Corporate Membership
  • $75 + tax per FITTskills textbook, per participant, per course (minimum 2 courses per student) plus shipping
  • $75 + tax per FITTskills examination, per participant, per course (minimum 2 FITTskills examinations per student)
  • For the student, $75 + tax per application up to eight credits

Going Global
Classroom delivery of Going Global
Description: Six introductory workshops designed by industry experts for delivery in a short time frame. Easily customizable with supplementary handouts (e.g. specific countries or industry sectors).

Benefits:
  • FITT developed curriculum
  • Reduced resource allocation by institution
  • Promotional support from FITT
  • Instructor guides and .PPT presentation provided
Cost: $20 + tax per workbook plus shipping.
