Applying for Credits
If the courses taken are listed below in the FITT Equivalence Chart you can apply for one or all eight of the credits as outlined.

STEP 1 - Find your school

Verify that the CITP* credit(s) you are applying for has been accredited by FITT (see the FITT Equivalence Chart below).

STEP 2 - Transfer your credits

Complete the Application for FITTskills Credit(s) and submit with payment to FITT ($75.00 plus GST/HST administration). An official transcript from the institution must be supplied to FITT prior to the granting of your credit(s). FITT will notify you within two weeks of receipt of the above confirming the credits you applied for. Please click here to download a transfer credit form.

STEP 3 - Professional Exam?

Verify whether or not you need to write the Professional Examination (3-hour pass or fail exam). You must write the Professional Examination if you transferred either 7 or 8 credits to FITT. Those individuals who have successfully completed two FITTskills assessments (exams or projects) as administered by FITT are exempt from writing the Professional Examination.

• If you do not need to write the Professional Examination your transcript will be mailed to you along with information regarding the CITP* designation.
  
  
• If you do need to write the Professional Examination, please complete the Registration for Professional Examination and submit to FITT along with payment ($195.00 plus GST/HST). We will send your examination to the proctor you selected one to two days before the examination date.

STEP 4 - Prepare your Application and Apply Online

Once you have confirmation from FITT that you meet the educational and experiential requirements, please apply for your CITP* through our online application system.
